Other companies may offer a service called a Flood Insurance Dispute. This
service merely provides a second opinion of where your property or
structure is plotted on the Flood Insurance Rate Map and requires that
you submit a request to FEMA for a Flood Hazard Determination Review
for an additional cost of $80.00. This review only affirms the correct
location of your property or structure in relation to the Flood
Insurance Rate Map, but does not provide the elevation of the structure
or property in relation to the flood level creating the Special Flood
Hazard Area. We
provide
actual on the ground analysis to determine if your structure is
eligible to be removed from the Special Flood Hazard Area. If the
lowest adjacent ground next to your structure is above the Flood Level
of the Special Flood Hazard Area, you are eligible to be removed from
the Special Flood Hazard Area and are also eligible to receive a
Preferred Risk Policy (PRP) through your insurance agent. This removal
process is called a Letter of Map Amendment (LOMA). FEMA issues an
official document
removing your property and/or structure from the Special Flood Hazard
Area. Only a Professional Land Surveyor, Engineer or Architect can
provide the information needed to apply for a LOMA. If you have a copy
of your existing Elevation Certificate or if you can get a copy from
your Flood Insurance Agent, we will provide a free evaluation of the
certificate to see if your structure is eligible to be removed. Click
